The Ninth Annual Southwest Florida Music Festival
I have been talking to our group of PPG pilots and we
have decided to start a club, Pine Island Recreational Club. We
will be charging $30 per month for membership dues. The dues
entitle PPG pilots to utilize the airport for flying from, which helps
support the rebuilding of the airport. We have also decided to expand on
this as I have been approached by numerous people to utilize the airport
for may purposes. Some of these uses are: Running Track; Dog Walk;
Off road bike path; Tent Camping; Family Outings; Remote Control Cars,
Planes and Boats; Horse Shoes; Basketball; Baseball; Paint gun
activities, Archery and many other quiet and fun activities. In
the near future we may even have Racquet Ball Tennis, and other sports.
If this is something you have an interest in, we welcome your comments.
We also welcome you to join.
In the mean time, I am concentrating on learning to fly my Drifter, getting my boats squared away, and of course developing the airport further. I still have investment opportunities available, although I am getting some very interested people and some of the opportunities may be going very soon. If so new hangars and new development will happen. The new hangars will include new restrooms with showers.
I am also fixing up more golf carts and we have a loaner van that needs a little work. Just a few projects I am working on so you don't think I am goofing off. :-) Heck, we may even plant a few fruit trees.
